Play role in building 'Sonar Bangla'

News Report Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan on Thursday called on the students to play their role in building 'Sonar Bangla'. He urged the students to help materialize the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's dream of building 'Sonar Bangla'. "You are born to fulfil the dream of 30 lakh martyrs. You have a lot of responsibilities. Your foremost priority is to fulfil Bangabandhu's dream- building Sonar Bangla," he said while addressing as the chief guest at the annual sports competition and prize giving ceremony of Shajahanpur Railway Government High School. The ceremony was held on the school premises in the city. Among others, chairman of Workers Party Rashed Khan Menon, rail ministry senior secretary Mofazzal Hossain, railway director general Shamsuzzaman, director general (east) Nasiruddin Ahmed spoke at the function. Terming knowledge the best asset of human beings, the minister said "Knowledge likens to flowing water in the river. It increases through exercise, but paucity of exercise decreases knowledge. So, we should continue the practice of knowledge". "Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are an integral part. Bangabandhu had to languish in jail for several times while fighting against the tyranny and disparity. Yet he did not bow down," said the minister, adding that he also awarded the nation the best constitution. He said Bangabandhu's political ideology was to build the 'Sonar Bangla' through political and economic emancipation. Lauding the role of the students, Sujan stressed the need for spreading the history of independence from generation to generation. He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to complete the unfinished tasks of Bangabandhu. "Bangladesh has become a role model of development under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister. The prime goal of the Prime Minister is to turn Bangladesh a developed one by 2041," he said.
