Language festival at NSU

The first private university in the country, North South University (NSU) has organised a two-day-long national language festival 'Language League 2019' on its own campus. Planning Minister MA Mannan was present as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the festival on Friday, says a press release. Mustafiz Shafi, acting editor of the Daily Samakal, Yan Hualong, minister counselor, embassy of China in Bangladesh; Freedom Fighter Lion Benajir Ahmed, chairman of the board of trustees of NSU and chairman of Partex Group, and former MP M. A. Hashem were present as special guests. Professor Atiqul Islam, vice-chancellor of NSU, presided over the programme. Among others, deans of different schools, directors of various departments, department heads, senior officials, teachers and more than a thousand students and their parents from different schools, colleges and universities of the country competing in Bangla, English and Chinese languages were also present during the programme.
