Footbridge at Shishu Mela near completion

News Report After long hassle, the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has almost completed construction work on setting up of a footbridge at Shishu Mela in the city. Source said the construction work was halted for the time-being as some land-owners objected construction of the footbridge in front of their houses at Mirpur Road. Later DNCC authorities took necessary initiatives to resolve the issue with landowners and began setting up the footbridge. Contractors and construction workers set the two iron pillars on Saturday night and the footbridge maybe opened to public within a month. Hundreds of pediatricians and patients cross the busy roads with high risk to their life as there is no footbridge near the public hospitals.
