Seminar on importance of herbal products held

A seminar on importance of herbal products and herbal medicine in national healthcare was held at Modern Herbal auditorium at Moghbazar in the city on Sunday. Bangladesh Herbal Products Manufacturing Association (BHMPA) and Business Promotion Council (BPC) jointly organised the seminar. AKM Enamul Haque Shamim MP, deputy minister of water resources ministry, was present as the chief guest, says a press release. Dr Alamgir Mati, president of Bangladesh Herbal Products Manufacturing Association (BHMPA), presided over the seminar. Dr Shah Alam, additional secretary and coordinator of Business Promotion Council (BPC) under commerce ministry, Md. Sabedur Rahman (Khoka Sikdar), chairman of Shariatpur Zila Parishad, and Dr Khandakar Sagir Ahmed, director of drug administration directorate, and Fatema Binte Rahman, programme executive of BPC, were also present as special guests. More than 100 participants took part in the seminar.
