Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society edged Chittagong Abahani Limited 2-1 in their Bangladesh Premier League match Thursday. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg and it was Rahmatganj who had the final laugh over the port city outfit. After losing to Saif Sporting Club in their previous match at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Rahmatganj played impressively at the beginning stages of the game although it was Chittagong Abahani who went ahead in the 23rd minute. Nigerian Kingsley Chigozie was fouled inside the box by Rahmatganj goalkeeper Ariful Islam and Kingsley made no mistake from the spot. ahmatganj though brought parity in the very next minute when forward Sohel Rana found the back of the net from a scramble. Rahmatganj continued to press for the winner in the second half and grabbed the lead in the 70th minute from a Landing Darboe volley after a cross from midfielder Rakibul Islam set up the Gambian nicely.
