Nur Mohammad elected MP

News Report Nur Mohammad, former inspector general of police, has been elected member of parliament unofficially from Kishoreganj- 2 constituency. His rival candidate was Major (retd) Akhterruzzman from BNP. The former IGP belongs to the 1982 batch of BCS (police) cadre. During his distinguished career, Nur Mohammad served in UN mission in Kosovo (UNMIK). He was appointed as IGP on January 29, 2007 and served in the highest position of police department till August 31, 2010. Nur Mohammad obtained his BA (Hons) and MA degrees in history from the University of Dhaka. He attended conferences and training programmes at home and abroad including USA, Russia, India, Italy, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea. Nur Mohammad is married and has three children
