Increasing bilateral relations with UAE, Afghanistan stressed

News Report Ambassadors designate of United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan to Bangladesh separately presented their credentials to the President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday. The envoys are Saed Mohammed Saed Hamid Almheiri from UAE and Abdul Qayoom Malikzad of Afghanistan. Welcoming the ambassadors, the President assured them of overall cooperation in discharging their duties and hoped that they will play their due role in strengthening bilateral relations between Bangl-adesh and their respective countries. President’s Press Secre-tary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meetings. President Abdul Hamid said the relationship between Bangladesh and United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reached to a multilateral level, which was once initiated with the visit of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1974. He said UAE is one of the most influential development partners. There is a bright possibility of the investment and business between the two countries.
