PM tells police, says cops to be trained on case conduct

News Desk Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Tuesday asked police personnel to ensure disposal of cases correctly and rapidly in a people-friendly manner. She disclosed a government plan of specialized training of police on matters of correct conduct of cases according to specific categories of crime in a timely manner. The prime minister made the remarks while addressing senior police officials at a function at her office marking the Police Week 2019 which she inaugurated Monday. Incidentally, the instructions from the head of government came in the wake of the finding of demerits in case management-the latest one being a wrong man having been jailed in a corruption case and set free on High Court's suo-moto order.
