Bangladesh ranks lowest in SA

News Report Bangladesh stands on the 89th position in the recently published Global Food Security Index-2017, which is the lowest among the South-Asian countries. Bangladesh Food Security Network (BFSN) disclosed this at a press briefing in the city's Dhaka Reporters' Unity on Saturday morning. The general secretary of BFSN said though Bangladesh has gained recognition as lower-middle income country in 2015, in case of food security it secured the 89th position, which is the lowest among the South-Asian countries. The organisation also proposed a six-point recommendations including forming a Food Security Act.
